Happy Thanksgiving week to you all. I hope you are enjoying a short work week and looking forward to whatever plans you may have for the holiday weekend. It’s one of my favorite holidays because it reminds us to take time to consider all that we have to be thankful for. So often, we’re quick to think of and share about what we want/don’t have…what’s going wrong in our day or our life….what we are lacking. Traffic was awful, the dog threw up on the carpet, the kids would. not. get. dressed. this morning, etc. But how often do we stop to think of the opposite? Not nearly enough, I know.  But this was my practice today.

I’m extremely blessed in my life to have so very many things go right for me.  My heat was working when I woke up this morning. My eyes could see to read the paper. My {amazing} husband brought me hot coffee in bed. There was water when I turned on the faucet….and even hot water when I needed it. There is more food in my fridge than I can or should eat. My dog is healthy and likes to be with me. My legs carried me around the house without me even thinking about them. My lungs bring nourishing life into my body every few seconds….and carry out what I don’t need, too. I turned on my computer and was connected with the world…while in my pajamas.  You see, I’ve written a paragraph and I’ve barely even got through breakfast.  There is so much I have to be thankful for and the more energy I spend thinking about that, the less energy I have to notice that which I lack.

So today, I invite you to consider this…what is right in your world?  May you find abundance and peace in the practice.

Namaste, friends, namaste.
